About the event

“All happy families are similar to each other, every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” (Lev Tolstoy)

The married couple Thore and Theresa have settled into their adult lives well. But when Thore's sister Swintha unexpectedly turns up and opens up the rifts that were thought to be buried, the facade begins to crumble. Theresa, who grew up in desolate conditions without a family, is not the only one struggling with childhood trauma. The "perfect family" that Thore and Swintha come from was in fact strictly governed by ethnic ideologies. And what actually happened to their younger brother Friedo? It is a piece of family history that is shaped by political fanaticism, dogmas and orthodox parameters. The play takes a look at the "New Right", the Reich Citizens, the Identitarians... Exposing what has been and speaking the profound truths still holds hope.
